Abstraction by Default

By overlaying the RIBBA frame passepartout over the IKEA Modernist poster, a predestined process of abstraction has occurred. Not informed by some broader understanding of perception, but simply by default. The machine cut mass produced inherent features of the cardboard has fragmented the modernist design, giving it new life.
